Last December 13 we were at L'Espurna Restaurant in Lleida city in the dinner pairing with our wines. It was a fantastic gastronomic evening with great assistance where we enjoyed the good cuisine of chef Jordi Vidal.

At Bodegas Costers del Sió, we are committed to Grenache as an autochthonous variety, and during this campaign we have doubled its vineyards from 5 hectares to more than 10; As well as we have reconsidered new blends that give a greater prominence to this grape.
Our winery counted from its origin with five hectares of this variety planted in 1998 and 1999. During this 2017 campaign, "we have planted 2.5 hectares of black variety in a new plot, and we have grafted other 2.8 hectares of white Grenache in the plots where we have our white varieties, Pla de Lladoner and El Molí. With this increase we already exceed ten hectares of Grenache", explains José María Porcioles, responsible for agricultural production.

Our red wine Celistia Tierra 2015 obtains the Vinari de Plata award in the general category of the Vinari Awards and the Silver Vinary special in the special category DO Costers del Segre.
About 70 tasters participated on October 6th at the 5th edition of the Vinari Awards at the Auditorium of Vilafranca del Penedès. The Vinari Awards are awards born to publicize the best wines of Catalonia every year. The awards ceremony was broadcast live on Channel 33.
With this gala closes the edition of Vinari Awards 2017 that began in the spring with the call to all the Catalan wineries and that has achieved the participation of 870 references of 235 wineries of the 12 denominations of origin of Catalonia.
The jury was composed of seventy professional experts in sommelieria, oenology, distribution, export, communication and recommendation of wines and also part of the tasting panel of INCAVI.
Josep Mª de Porcioles picked the Silver Vinari Prize 2017 for our red wine Celistia Tierra 2015 wine by the Minister of Agriculture Meritxell Serret.

Last Monday, November 27, the 5th Edition of the Verema Barcelona Experience was held in Barcelona. One more year, the Museu Marítim de Barcelona was the setting for the experience where we met more than 100 exhibiting wineries that gave to taste our most representative wines.

Last 03/09/2017 we received a visit from a Danish distributor and a group of restaurateurs also from Denmark to the Costers del Sió estate. Josep Maria de Porcioles hosted the visit and wine tasting with our winemaker Valvanera Martínez. ¡We enjoyed a wonderful day together!
