"Grenaches du Monde" is a prestigious wine contest for wines made from the Garnacha grape variety, where many wine producers from all over the world participate (Spain, France, Italy, Macedonia, South Africa, Australia, Canada, Lebanon, Greece).

The contest was born in 2013 when the Interprofessional Council of Wines of Roussillon organized the first edition of "Grenaches du Monde" and in a few years has become an important event for wine professionals from around the world.

Although we place the birth of this wine contest in Roussillon, it travels to one or another producing region every year. This year it has been the turn of the Denomination of Origin Terra Alta and the award ceremony took place in Gandesa.

"Garnachas del mundo" aims at different objectives:

- Promote the promotion of quality wines made with different varieties of Grenache.

- Promote the production of the Garnacha grape variety

- To present the characteristics of these wines to consumers

- Guide the consumer in the election by distinguishing the best Grenache wines in the world, giving them a seal of quality.
