Do you know where the color of red wine comes from?
Inside the majority of black grapes we find that the pulp is practically transparent as you can see in our video. And it is that most of the pigments are in the skin of the grape.
We call tears of wine the path that the wine leaves on the walls of the glass. This path forms a groove in the glass, similar to that of a tear pouring down the cheek, hence the name.
The Merlot grape arrives at the winery!
Did you know that Merlot is a variety of black, productive and early bud?
The cluster of the Merlot is cylindrical, small and not very dense. The grain is small, with a thick skin, sweet pulp and a bluish-black color.
On August 16, our 2022 grape harvest began in the Pla del Molí vineyard with the Pinot Noir variety, the basis of our sparkling Siós Brut Rosé and Siós Brut Blanc de Noirs.
