You now have at your disposal the new 2020 vintage of our Siós Cau del Gat, a modern aging red wine, seeking a more fruity and fresh character. Made from organically produced grapes of the Garnacha, Tempranillo and Syrah varieties.

Crianza red wine: Structure, fruit and freshness.

Ageing: 9 months of aging in 300-litre French oak barrels. Bottle aging period of not less than 6 months.

Harvest: Harvest at the end of September. The harvested grapes are quickly transported to the winery where the clusters that do not meet the optimum characteristics are removed.

Vineyard: Ecological agricultural production vineyards selected for their low production, marked by their mesoclimates and soils with great viticultural aptitude.

Elaboration: Cold maceration of the grape. Controlled alcoholic fermentation at 25ºC in stainless steel tanks and subsequent maceration for two weeks.

TASTING NOTES

Appearance: Intense cherry-red colour with violet highlights. Deep, well-layered, clean and intense.

Aroma: Fresh and full of red and dark fruits (raspberries, blackcurrants), as well as floral notes of violet. Also present are spicy aromas such as cocoa, balsamic, mint, rosemary and hints of undergrowth.

Taste: Complex and full-bodied with a smooth and pleasant entry. A silky, round, well-balanced wine with an intense, fruity finish. Perfect harmony between freshness, acidity, tannins and aftertaste.

Pairing: Perfect with roast beef or veal. Also with herb seasoned grilled meat. This wine pair very well with goats and sheep cheeses, as well as blue cheeses and strong flavoured cows cheeses.
