Last December 13 we were at L'Espurna Restaurant in Lleida city in the dinner pairing with our wines. It was a fantastic gastronomic evening with great assistance where we enjoyed the good cuisine of chef Jordi Vidal.
The menu consisted of the following dishes:
- Slices of prawn in its essence, cauliflower and pine nuts paired with our white wine Petit Siós
- Sparkling trumpets of death with crispy bacon and truffles paired with our wine Cau del Gat
- Grilled cod with crunchy cereals, suquet of galleys and prawns from San Carlos paired with our red wine Alto Siós.
- Lamb in corn crust with chanterelle sauce, artichokes and liquorice perfume paired with our red wine Finca Siós.
- Chromatic refreshing passion, coconut and pineapple paired with our sparkling wine Siós Brut Rosé.
- Tiramisu pear from Lleida accompanied also by our sparkling wine Siós Brut Rosé.
Between the dishes, the owners of the winery -Juan and José Mª de Porcioles- had the opportunity to explain the particularities of each of the wines and all their nuances, as well as the history of Bodegas Costers del Sió since its beginnings.
Part of the team of Costers del Sió Winery did not want to miss the event.
The evening was accompanied by the live jazz music of the Dixie Trio group.
