ACQUISITION OF THE PROPERTY
In 1992 the Porcioles-Buixó family acquired the property.
THE WINES…
In 2005, the first harvest was carried out in the current facilities, which produced the first wines: ALTO SIOS, VIÑA SIOS Tinto and Rosado.
PLANTING THE FIRST VINEYARD
With the help of friends and family, in 1998 the first vineyard was planted by hand.
AND SPARKLING WINES
In 2014 we take another step in our product range and produce the Siós Brut Blanc de Noirs and Siós Brut Rosé sparkling wines.
Costers del Sió, a man’s dream come true
It all begins with the dream of a restless man, Juan de Porcioles, who had always dreamed of living in the countryside, cultivating the land and raising his own livestock… This is how in 1992, the Porcioles-Buixó family acquired the property.
Since then, with effort and enthusiasm we have worked on it, giving it its own character and singularities. Today it is known as Finca de Flix. At the same time, Juan de Porcioles, a great lover of the world of wine, was developing the idea of cultivating his own vineyard in order to produce wines with a marked personality and of the highest quality.
Thus, in 1998, with the help of friends and family, he planted the first vineyard by hand; “Vinya Vella”, recovering at the same time, vine cultivation in the area. A whole project that today, through his wife and children, is becoming a reality.
